FPG's Letters to A. L. Phelps

Dear Phelps,

A change in my plans: I am bringing May along. Foolishly I asked her, How'd you like to come? Whereupon there was such a to-do that I could not deny her. Of course, that need not interfere with anything except that whoever wants me for a few hours in the evening will have to be good enough to provide some corner where she can sit down and sleep - some big chair or a lounge. At the rooming house, we'll share the bed. She is all excitement about it. She has a few dollars and wants to do Christmas Shopping.

That's all just now. Thanks for those 2 reviews. It is marvelous how they miss the point. However, perhaps it was I who missed it.

So long,
F.P.G.

I won't bring anything to read. I'm coming incognito. I want to listen, not to talk.
