FPG's Letters to A. L. Phelps

118. 1927:
Raid City, Man.    August 6, 1927

Dear A.L.P.,

I suppose, if you last, that coming week is your last in W'peg. This is just a word to say that we are putting up a fight. It seems hopeless, though. What is there left? Some ruthless power said, "Those people think they have reason to complain? I'll hit them at the root." Very well...

Now if you don't go east, we'd promise rest and should try to make it as little unpleasant as earthly things can be. I hope you know that.

And if you do, we still count on a week-end visit.

As for Mrs. G. - I don't know. However...

Yours,
F.P.
