FPG's Letters to A. L. Phelps

120. 1928:
Keewatin, Ont.    February 29, 1928.

My dear A.L.P.,

I was too preoccupied yesterday morning to remember the name of the Montreal man who wanted to be good to me. Would you write it down and address c/o Graham Spry, 55 Metcalfe St., Ottawa where I shall arrive on Wednesday, Mar 7 at 5 in the morning?

I have just spent a couple hours remodeling my talk, but not making it any the less "high-brow." Only, to give, to-morrow, at the men's luncheon at St. William's I had to cut it to ½ hour; and that means leaving out the most important part - the last 3 pages - besides writing the more personal things in the first ½.

They have begun, here, to do things to me - I mean "Feting" - reception last night. Car-rides, etc, etc. I defend myself as best I can. Just now I evaded several callers who wanted to rush me about by getting into a hot bath and staying there, nursing that little cold I caught on the Sat. in W'peg before the blizzard.

Well, take good care of yourself. Best regards to Mrs. Phelps; and a little hug to Ann.

Yours,
F.P.G.
