My dear A.L.P.,
This is what I propose: when you go down to Bobcaygeon,
attend to the business there and then go on, with Mrs. P. & Ann,
to Prescott, wiring me when you arrive there. I'll meet you
there with my new car; and after you have slept 2 or 3 days
(the more the better) with us, I'll slip (SLIP not SHIP [by
car]) you down to Montreal in time for the boat.
We have just moved out. Our Rapid City furniture has just
been signalized as being on the way. So we shall have beds
up in a week or 10 days - plenty of them, enough for all
and to spare. I hope I'll get your Ms. shortly - I do hope - how
I hope!!! I wish you were living closer by; I'll persuade
you to come in as our regular reader: Mss. are simply flooding
100 to every 1 I accept. But "Durham" was a feather in my
cap. So long. Private address after this: Cumming's Bridge,
Ottawa, Ont. (That, shortly, will also be our business address,
I am consolidating all offices in one building.)
As ever,
F.P.G.
