FPG's Letters to A. L. Phelps

151. 1931:
Cummings Bridge, Ont.    January 7, 1931

My dear A.L.P.,

I have completely severed all my relations to Graphic, Ariston, etc. and am typing out a final copy of "The Chronicles of the Spalding District". I am wondering whether you'd care to read a copy before it goes to England. I can't give it to you and, if I send it, must have it back within two weeks , - I'll give you a copy of the last but one draft if you want it. Of the final text I'm making only 2 copies; one goes to New York, one to London. You know that Canadian publication still depends on foreign publication.

How are you all? How's Hainsworth? The young man is getting mightily impatient.

A.L.G. is thriving; his mother well. I have had back-aches, otherwise all right.

Bye bye.
F.P.G.
