Greve/Grove [FPG] translated and published this work in 1904 or 1905. It was withdrawn from the market after Nov., 1905, and re-issued as v. 4 of Dr. E. W. Fischer's ed. of Flaubert's Collected Works in 1907 as "Erste deutsche, von den Rechtsnachfolgern Flauberts autorisierte Gesamt-Ausgabe."

Donated to RBR in July, 1996, by Professor Anthony W. Riley, Queen's University. -- A noted "Germanist," Prof. Riley was instrumental in decoding D. O. Spettigue's many German documents, once he had discovered the "FPG identity" in late 1972.

RBR also has the identical text in a grey paper-bound ed. in poor condition. --
